Meet the sponsors >>
We’ve gotten bigger and better this year. The 2014 season was a successful first year for the new Kallisto-FCV Team, we placed riders on the podium at local races, regional, provincial, and national level road and track races. We also had one rider represent Canada at Junior Track World Championships.
Looking forward one year our team has expanded again! This year the former Team Attack Youth Racing Team will become part of the Kallisto-FCV p/b Toyo Tires Team. So our team roster will include our Future Stars/Youth (aged 9-16), Cadets, Juniors, Masters and Elite level riders. We are so grateful for the relationships we have developed with our sponsors! With their help our cycling team continues to grow, consistently reaching the podium in Regional and National events. A new sponsor to the team this year is a new bike shop in Toronto, The 11 Inc. http://the11inc.com/ We are looking forward to working with you on Youth Develpment. History of the Kallisto-FCV p/b Toyo Tires Team: Our team is based around the Forest City Velodrome, an indoor cycling track in London, Ontario. The velodrome, housed in a former hockey arena and first opened in 2005, went from concept to reality in just a little over four months. Proposed by Rob Good and Albert Coulier in 2004, and constructed over the next several months, the 138-metre indoor cycling track is currently one of only three indoor velodromes in North America. From the beginner to the elite level, track cycling offers thrills and excitement for both athletes and spectators alike. Development programs are offered to bring new, young Canadian talent into the sport, while elite athletes can train indoors during the winter to prepare for an international competitive schedule that culminates in the World Championships in February of each year. Our program at the Forest City Velodrome has fostered some great male and female athletes competing at every level, from provincial to international. But we’ve also helped a lot of more recreational cyclists improve their fitness, confidence, and bike-handling skills–and that’s what it’s all about!
